On the way home from the 2007 Maryland Faerie Festival, a weekend of pure joy, we paid a visit to Antietam National Battlefield, outside of Sharpsburg, MD. From happy faeries to honored dead. It all matters. Each connected to one another.
So here are some thoughts and images from the visit. I will warn the sensitive, I have used some period battlefield photography, so there are some gruesome images here, but war, in whatever period, is ever this way. The damage we can to do one another, for the most foolish of reasons, deserves to be depicted openly...
